Hannover 2015 part 1

Thank you Google for this pic! :)

So as you might know or not know I was in Germany a little month ago. I were visiting the German city Hannover located around an hour from Hamburg. It was my first time visiting Hannover and I can say it's not my last! The city is really great! Lots of different culture, great shopping options, a few sightseeing places and lots of cafes and restaurants!
We drove by car to Hannover and it took us around 5 hours.

Breakfast time 'cuz we drove from Denmark at 5 o'clock in the morning!

But first, lets take a selfie

On the road again

At one of our break places something super funny (and awkward) happened for me. I was pretty much laying on the entire back seat with my head on my mom's lap sleeping and suddenly my mom hits me and yells "MARIA!!!! Look there's an Asian!" (please note that this is meant as a good thing because in general I find Asians really attractive, thank you) and I sat up totally confused and still half asleep. Outside the car an Asian man came walking and suddenly his family were there too. The Asian man had a son and honestly I don't think I have been stared on that much before as I did there! The son was staring SUPER SUPER MUCH at me! And when he went into their car (of course parked next to ours) I thought he was going to talk to me because he went straight for our car! Instead he just smiled and they drove away! It was SO awkward and embarrassing but also flattering I guess? Haha!

A bit later we arrived to our hotel Crowne Plaza Hannover

Again thank you Google!
We parked our car and went into Hannover center for some shopping (More precisely PRIMARK TIME!)! If you stay at this hotel you only live 5 minutes away from the shopping center! When we returned we found a little surprise by the car also know as a car ticket because we may or may not have parked wrong! So just so you know it! When you park a car in Germany be sure to check where you are parking on a parking place because some places are for free and others aren't! But the people on our hotel were really nice and gave a free parking place for our entire stay at a closed parking lot to the hotel! Normally you should pay 20 euros a day to park there so our bill didn't seem as bad again (who am I kidding... 80 euros)! It's really expensive to park in Germany!

Well after our not-so-nice-car-accident we got our room and started unpacking. I must say that the room was suuuuper super nice! It was so big and spacey and I'm even more surprised of the size because it's a city hotel!

My sister and mine bed- A bit hard but the pillows were good!

Hello big Primark bag!

Looking so serious while taking photos
Mini fridge, a bit expensive prizes for the stuff

Main bed- On all the bed was a little bag with candy from Haribo
This bed was really comfortable!

Not the biggest bathroom but still nice and with lots of towels!

Free products

So after unpacking we went to the center again for eating dinner and to do some more shopping!

The architecture was really nice

The main station in Hannover

I think this was really nice and I would wish we used this more in Denmark

Ernest Augustus 1 of Hannover (He was a King from 1837)
We decided to explore the shopping mall Ernst August Galerie which I personally think is the best shopping mall of them all in Hannover center

Really big!

There was 3 floors with more than 150 shops!

Patiently waiting

Believe it or not but I was actually waiting with my dad for my mom and sis (Looking hella pale!)

Already tireeeed!
The best thing about shopping malls are without doubt the toy department!

These teddies are the cutest! We also saw them in Oslo some years ago!
I need one in my life! *Come here Aslan*

This bear was so coooool! He told the kids (in German) facts about different animals! Really good!
After our "adventure" in Ernst August Galerie we went back to a café kind of place called Nordsö I think! It's located closed to Primark!

I got a salmon wrap! Really good! And cheap (3,50 euros)

These statues was sooo cute!

The were water dripping from her umbrella

A quick trip at Mc D! My absolute fav. thing from Mc D! Highly recommend!!!
So this was everything we did on our first day in Hannover! I promise part 2 will be up soon!!

Welcome to university part 1

First of all I'm really sorry I haven't made any post lately but in this blog post you'll figure out why!
The last couple of weeks have been really nerve wrecking for me! I've been waiting for my acceptances letter from the university I've applied to and I had a math exam!
A month ago I applied for my dream university in Denmark, Aalborg University Esbjerg, in my home city, which is also the place where I studied math and physics before.
12 days ago I got my acceptance mail and I was super happy! But... First I had to pass my last math exam before I could be 100% accepted! I don't think I've ever been so close yet so far away from my goal before!
This also meant that the last few weeks, I've been studying math all the time! AS IN THE FREAKING WHOLE TIME!
I was so focused on studying that even if I had a break I would think about making math assignments. Even when we were celebrating my dad two weekends ago, suddenly in the middle of the night (while the party still was going on) I thought "Hey lets make some math!". It was crazy and really intense!
I couldn't, at that moment, bear the thought of not starting at university and the feeling of disappointing my entire family but also the fact that it would hurt my pride, not to be accepted.
On the day of my exam I was really nervous but I was thinking positive and felt that I mostly could my math- But still REALLY NERVOUS!!!!
I must admit I had the best people to watch over us at the exam! They were so kind and funny and it really calmed my nerves.
After the exam I didn't really know what to feel. I was confused but happy and then confused again, because it was a difficult exam. I honestly wasn't sure if the thing I had calculated was right or wrong but I decided to let it go for the rest of the day.
The next couple of days were literately just like hell! I don't think I have ever been this depressed before in my life. I didn't feel like doing anything or spend time with people. I just wanted to stay in my bed and be depressed because I was thinking about my exam ALL the time! And the more I was thinking about it, the worse I felt, because I felt like everything was wrong.
A couple of days later, I started to see the light again and began to accept the fact that if I didn't start at my university this year I could do it next year. I could work another year and earn some money and go travelling.
But I still knew what I wanted the most and I couldn't really accept not getting into university.
One person who truly told me something that made everything more clear and positive for me was a friend I have from Singapore. He told me

"Well it's already done so don't worry okay? Just enjoy what time you have right now!"

Honestly that remark did so much for me! My friend, Ashley, just made my mood so much better and it was like I could breath again and accept everything! I truly think that no matter what happens, you should really enjoy the time you have now! It doesn't help anyone or yourself if your mood is negative! Even through it's difficult and hard!
After that amazing remark the next couple of days went by and I was more positive! I could actually smile and be around people without being depressed. But I still couldn't relax and I was constantly checking if our result were uploaded multiple times a day!
When the result still wasn't posted yesterday a week after my exam I called my University to asked why the result weren't posted yet and I was told that nobody had seen our assignments yet. At that moment I was really irritated because I've just been walking around the last week like some kind of zombie. But as always the people who works at my university are incredibly sweet and great and today I got a call from one of the people working at my university that I passed my exam. While speaking with her on the phone I tried to sound as professional and cool as possible while I mostly wanted to scream out of happiness! The moment before she told me I had passed I was so nervous. One thing is to figure out by yourself that you haven't passed and another thing is to be told by another person you haven't passed and I honestly don't know how I would have reacted if I haven't passed it! But I had and even through I was standing in the middle of our local drug store (I was out shopping with my mom and sis) I were jumping on the place and half screaming "I passed" in the middle of the store after our call ended... Not the most elegant moment in my life but what ever!
I have never felt this big wave of happiness in my entire body before as I did today! It was amazing!
For the rest of the day I've been wearing the biggest smile ever. Even when Jasmin and I were literately killed at our Body Fit lesson at the gym I was still happy!
So now I can end my blogpost with lots of happiness and call myself for an official university student!

Xx Maria
P.S. more information about my first day will come later!
I'll start the 1st. September!

Top 5 summer perfumes

As we all know summer is more or less here (unless you live in denmark...)! And that means we all find our summer wardrobe, shoes, sunglasses ect. and get ready for long nights at the beach, in the city or other cool places! And for me summer also means time to smell like summer!
In this blog post I have collected my personal top 5 summer perfumes that I'm crazy about in summertime!

1. The first perfume is the Fijian Water Lotus Perfume by The Body Shop

The front of the perfume

It's a really fresh and summery sent perfect for hot summer days! It's a very exotic and smells of citruses, flowers and sea notes but in the good way! It was a perfume The Body Shop launched last summer but you can still buy it. You can buy this smell as a perfume, a shower gel and a body lotion. It contains 50 ml of Eau De Toilette

The beautiful bag of the perfume
The design of the perfume is really chick and it's easy to take with you! This is in my opinion one of the best summer perfumes if you like fresh and exotic perfumes!

2. The second perfume is Born In Paradise by Escada

One of the prettiest perfumes i own!

This perfumes is a super exotic summer scent! When I smell it I think of Hawaii or other super exotic places! The scent smells of Piña Colada but in the super good way! You can smell the coconut but it's not in a bad way! The sent is sweet but still fresh!

The perfume from the bag with a pretty bird
Escade launched this perfume last year and this year they have released a new perfume from the summer collection called Turquoise summer.
Born in Paradise is available in Eau De Toilette as 30, 50 or 100 ml. My bottle contains 50 ml.

3. The third perfume is Eau Océane by Biotherm

I must apologize and say this is a pic from the internet
because I only have a sample of it

This perfume was launched in 2012. I got a sample of it last year when I was in Galleries Lafayette in Germany and I must say normally I'm not a big fan of Biotherm's perfumes but this one is amazing! It super fresh and summery and it smells of a hot summer day by the ocean! It has an ocean scent but a good one with notes as lemon and watery fruits.
The perfumes is available as 100 ml Eau De Toilette.

4. The fourth perfume is the Mange Body mist by The Body Shop.

It's a very sweet and light fragrance and you can use it all over your body. It's a very good and cheap option for a summer sent if you don't want to use to many money on it! And it comes in pretty much all of The Body Shop's sent if another one is better. I like this one a lot because it's sweet but still fresh.
The body mist is available as 100 ml.

5. The fifth perfume is Fantasy Island by Britney Spears

This is a really pretty bottle with lots of diamonds!
First time I smelled this was two summer ago but I didn't buy it and I regretted it a lot afterwards! But this year at Palma's airport I found it and I brought it! It's super fresh but in a different way then the other scent from this blog post. It was launched in 2013 and it's a part of Britney Spear's fantasy line. The scent is made of floral and fruity aromas.
It's available as 50 or 100 ml Eau De Toilette
